Kielce County is a unit of territorial administration and local government in Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, south-central Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat is the city of Kielce, although the city is not part of the county. The county contains five towns: Chęciny, 14 km south-west of Kielce, Chmielnik, 32 km south of Kielce, Daleszyce, 17 km south-east of Kielce, Bodzentyn, 25 km east of Kielce, Morawica, 13,7 km south of Kielce.
