Largest royal palace in Europe. It's 1,350,00 sq feet total. It's huge and extremely ornate. Lots of history and fine art. Definitely a must when in Madrid. Full review by Carlos V

Absolutely stunning, we weren’t sure this would be our thing but it was just stunning. The ticketing and queueing system is poor, and led to us accidentally paying €16 for something we didn’t need, … Full review by PixieQ915765

I bought my ticket online from the official website and then we went right in. We didn't wait even a minute in line. There is a separate queue for people with tickets, so i would say don't pay more for "skip the line" tickets :). When you arrive at the entrance just go to the front and show the guards your tickets.
Q:
Can I get student and youth tickets for my kids? If so, will their school ID and US passports enough as proof?
A:
Not sure, but ID such as passport should be enough to validate age. Recommend you arrange for a tour through a recognized tour provider as you will miss out on considerable …

Not sure, but ID such as passport should be enough to validate age. Recommend you arrange for a tour through a recognized tour provider as you will miss out on considerable information as well as avoiding lines. They can let you know about discounts for students.

My wife and I are confused. Will ONLY be in Madrid Friday April 28 through Sunday April 30, 2023. Website shows no tickets available plus none available via a tour service. However, a person we spoke with who lives in Madrid, and close to the Palace, said in reality we could show up in the morning about when it opens. May be a line but can physically buy a ticket there. Is that true?
A:
There is a physical ticket office onsite. I'm not sure if they hold separate day of tickets though.
