Over 1,000 Amazon workers at the company's KSBD air hub in Southern California have formed a union with the Teamsters and demanded union recognition with a "March on the Boss" held this morning. The KSBD warehouse in San Bernardino is a crucial hub in Amazon's logistics network and the largest air facility on the West Coast.

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters urged Amazon to agree to set bargaining dates for a union contract by Dec. 15. “The Teamsters are done asking nicely for Amazon to stop breaking the law. Amazon must commit to come to the table and bargain a Teamsters contract with its workers — or face the consequences

The decision follows “Amazon’s illegal refusal to recognize their union and negotiate a contract addressing the company’s low wages and dangerous working conditions,” the union said.

Amazon workers in New York have set a deadline for Sunday 15 December demanding the company agree to begin bargaining a first union contract with the union or else workers at the warehouse, along with other Amazon workers around the US,

Another 1,000 Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) employees have unionized, with workers at the KSBD air hub in Southern California joining the powerful International Brotherhood of Teamsters. The announcement comes after the Teamsters notified Amazon (AMZN) of a December 15 deadline to agree to a bargaining date for a union contract.
