Tens of millions of people from the Plains to the Midwest again face the risk of a potentially violent and life-threatening severe weather outbreak that could bring long-track tornadoes, giant hail and hurricane-force wind gusts to areas still reeling from extreme weather over the past few weeks that left several people dead.
