A line of severe thunderstorms was moving through the South Plains and Panhandle early Wednesday evening, bringing heavy rain, strong winds and the threat of tornadoes.

According to a company spokesperson, the line is located west of the Twin Cities metro, near Waverly, Montrose and Delano.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue through 10 a.m. along and just east of the Interstate 35 corridor, according to the National Weather Service. The storms could produce wind gusts over 40 mph, heavy rainfall and half-inch-size hail.

Residents across central Texas are reporting damage caused by the thunderstorms that hit the region early Sunday morning.
