Matthew Bromberg succeeds John Riccitiello and Jim Whitehurst as CEO of Unity. After some turmoil at the top, the struggling engine developer had been looking for a long-term solution. Bromberg, who has worked at casual game developer Zynga in the past, will also become Unity President and a member of the Supervisory Board on May 15.

Unity has appointed former Electronic Arts and Zynga executive Matthew Bromberg as its new CEO. Effective May 15, Bromberg will replace interim CEO Jim Whitehurst, the former IBM president who assumed the role when John Riccitiello stepped down last October, and who has now been appointed executive chair of Unity’s board.

Bromberg will also be the President of Unity and has been added as a member to the company's Board of Directors.
