Squibb plays eponymous protagonist Thelma Post, a 93-year-old targeted by a phone scammer impersonating her grandson Danny ( The White Lotus ' Fred Hechinger). Margolin based the film on his own grandmother's experience of being barraged by telescammers.

Peaky Blinders ' Sam Claflin and Obi-Wan Kenobi 's Rupert Friend have just joined a World War II film from the producers of John Wick. The film will have Henry Dunham at the helm.

Sam Claflin (“Daisy Jones & the Six,” “Peaky Blinders,” the Hunger Games franchise) and Rupert Friend (“Asteroid City,” “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” “Homeland”) will star in the World War II action thriller “Perdition” from writer-director Henry Dunham (“The Standoff at Sparrow Creek”).

Sam Claflin and Rupert Friend will star in Thunder Road Pictures' World War II action-thriller Perdition. Written and directed by Henry Dunham, principal photography is set for the fall. Mister Smith Entertainment will launch international sales at Cannes with CAA Media Finance and UTA Independent Film Group co-representing North American rights.
