A West Monroe man has been arrested in connection with the slaying of Sheryl Turner, whose body was found in North Louisiana in January.

The Catahoula Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Anthony Pierce Holland, Jr., 29, of West Monroe in connection to the human remains found in the Ouachita River in January 2024. The remains were later identified as missing New Iberia 19-year-old Sheryl Turner.
