After being ousted in August, former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is playing the waiting game as an interim government tries to sort out a new future.

Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the son of Bangladesh ex-Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has stated that no decisions have been made regarding her participation in the upcoming national elections, media reports said.

Speaking at the Clinton Global Initiative, Dr Muhammad Yunus introduced and praised the young leaders who drove the student-led movement that led to Sheikh Hasina's ouster.

The interim head of the Bangladesh government called Mahfuz Abdullah and two other student leaders on the stage and lauded them for sparking a revolution that "shook the entire country".
