Former University of Florida President Ben Sasse spent over $1.3 million on social functions in his first year on the job, according to a report from a student news service.

Truth be told, Young Ben Sasse had a good reason to step down at Florida, as his wife has suffered a galaxy of serious health problems. But he walks away with $1 million a year. Young Ben Sasse once wrote: “A hallmark of virtuous adulthood is learning to find freedom in your work rather than freedom from your work, even when work might hurt.”
