The discount retail brand continues to plot out its comeback under new ownership. The latest round of stores will open Thursday in 13 states. This week, the discount retail chain Big Lots will open dozens of new stores.

Grocery store chain, Aldi was also one of the retailers that purchased the former Big Lot stores. Aldi purchased three stores, according to bankruptcy filings. None of the stores are in Pennsylvania. The three stores are located at: Big Lots filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in September, and began closing most of its stores in December.
