Nearly a month into a union walkout, the aerospace giant withdrew its latest contract offer, and the two sides exchanged blame over the breakdown.

After negotiations broke down again between striking Boeing machinists and the aerospace giant, the leader of the union representing the workers says they are prepared to play the long game.

The union representing the striking workers criticized Boeing and said it was “hell-bent” on pushing through a “non-negotiated offer” it released to the media last month.

The lead negotiator for a Boeing union representing about 33,000 workers who have been on strike for nearly a month said on Wednesday that members were prepared to wait out the planemaker, after pay talks collapsed a day earlier.
