As a heat wave hits multiple U.S. states, some areas are have been placed under extreme heat watches and warnings.

We're hitting peak heat wave today, with a handful of Michigan counties forecast to be the hottest places in the state.

The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Warning for Allegheny, Butler, Beaver, Washington and portions of Westmoreland and Fayette counties through Wednesday evening as heat indices up to 105 degrees are possible in these locations.
