An extreme heat warning is in effect for San Antonio Wednesday until 9 p.m. The highs on Wednesday and Thursday will be around 105. Highs on Friday and Saturday will be around 102 and the high on Sunday will be 101. And even more records could fall—with the rising temperatures.

As temperatures continue to rise across the country, health experts are warning families to take precautions to protect children from the increasing dangers of extreme heat.
"It will feel hot and dry initially before eventually becoming muggy and possibly even downright oppressive across the area," read a forecast discussion from the weather service. "Multiple records in jeopardy of being broken," it added.
