The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning at 5:44 p.m. on Tuesday in effect until 8:45 p.m. for Clarion, Forest, Mercer and Venango counties.

Scattered storms with brief downpours are likely to lead to some flash flooding and flooding today in the western Pennsylvania area.

"Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring," the NWS has reported.
