A Florida sheriff fed up with a spate of false school shooting threats is taking a new tactic to try get through to students and their parents: he’s posting the mugshot of any offender on social media.

A Florida sheriff shared shared a mugshot and "perp walk" video of an 11-year-old on Facebook who allegedly threatened a mass shooting. The video posted by the Volusia County sheriff drew the attention of many parents online who are calling for the boy's parents to be held accountable.

A 10-year-old was photographed, perp-walked, and prosecuted in 2022 for making a hoax threat to a Florida school
