Jose Ibarra, the man accused of murdering Augusta University nursing student Laken Riley, is seeking to have key evidence in his trial excluded.

Court documents claim that two cell phones, social media accounts, genetic and physical information, and location data were gathered without probable cause.

Laken Riley was jogging on the university’s campus on Feb. 22 when she was attacked and killed. Police arrested and charged Jose Ibarra, who a grand jury indicted on 10 counts, including murder.
