A Danish hiker fell to his death Wednesday in the Mont Blanc massif in the French Alps after slipping from a trail, rescue services said, just one day after four climbers were found dead on the iconic peak.

GRAND COUNTY, Colo. — Recovery efforts have been called off for a hiker who fell while climbing a Colorado thirteener. The Grand County Sheriff's Office said in a release that on Aug. 28, they learned about a hiker who had fallen about 300 to 400 feet off Arikaree Peak in Grand County.

Rescue teams found the bodies of two South Korean climbers on Mont Blanc, who went missing due to severe weather.

French rescue officials said they found the bodies of two Italian and two South Korean climbers close to the peak of Mont Blanc.

Four climbers who disappeared in a storm on Mont Blanc in France have been found dead. Their bodies were discovered close to the Alps’ highest peak – at an altitude of at least 15,400 feet – after they disappeared over the weekend in bad weather.
