The House on Thursday passed the reconciliation bill that will now go to President Donald Trump’s desk for his signature. The reconciliation legislation, which includes $150 billion for defense, passed the lower chamber in a 218-214 vote after narrowly passing the Senate earlier this week in a 51-50 vote.
The House voted 218-214 today to pass a massive budget reconciliation bill that includes numerous tax, immigration and energy provisions, including $150 billion for the Defense Department. The bill will now be sent to President Trump to be signed into law.
The House and Senate are taking far different approaches to next year's appropriations, but neither chamber has fully embraced Trump's budget proposals.
