Israeli drones have struck three vehicles on a highway south of Beirut, killing eight people, including a woman and her two children, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry.

BEIRUT, May 11 (Reuters) - Lebanon's president has urged the United States to put pressure on Israel to cease fire and stop home demolitions in south Lebanon, the presidency said on Monday, as the death toll from Israeli attacks rose.

Three Israeli drone strikes on vehicles south of Beirut have killed four people. A series of airstrikes on southern Lebanon killed at least 13, including a man and his 12-year-old daughter, according to state media and the Health Ministry.

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun promises to take all measures to stop the war with Israel as violence continues. Israeli strikes hit southern Lebanon, while Hezbollah targets northern Israel.
