At least 24 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a tent encampment housing displaced families in Khan Younis, located in the southern Gaza Strip, local health authorities reported on Sunday.

Hospitals and medics in the Gaza Strip say Israeli strikes across the Palestinian enclave killed at least 66 people overnight and into Sunday.

Aid groups and U.N. investigations have accused Israel of aiming to destroy Gaza’s health infrastructure. Israel says it is forced to strike hospitals it says are used by Hamas for military purposes.
