Firefighters in southern New Jersey are trying to contain a forest fire burning in Berkeley Township that has thus far not threatened any structures.

A wildfire burning in Ocean County grew to 189 acres Tuesday afternoon, but officials said the blaze is now 50% contained. Firefighters made progress battling the fire at Fisher’s Pit in Berkeley throughout the day.
