A driver was taken to the hospital after crashing an empty school bus Monday morning. Philipsburg Fire Department was dispatched at 7:07 a.m. April 7, to the 2000 block of Black Moshannon Road (State Route 504) in Rush Township.

According to Berks County dispatchers, Rt. 422 was closed in both directions in the area of Savage L&B Dodge, located in the 6900 block of Penn Avenue. The closure lasted about two hours, with the road finally reopening around 10:15 a.m.
