Retired FDNY Chief Brian Cordasco has pleaded guilty to federal charges linked to soliciting and accepting illegal payments.

A former New York City Fire Department chief has pleaded guilty to a federal conspiracy charge, admitting that he and others solicited tens of thousands of dollars over two years to give preferential treatment in scheduling safety inspections.

Chief Brian Cordasco, 49, will also have to cough up $57,000 in ill-gotten gains from the bribery scam, which earned him and Chief  Anthony Saccavino more than $190,000 in illegal payoffs.
