Russia launched its largest drone attack on Ukraine since the beginning of its invasion, Ukrainian officials said Wednesday, just hours after US President Donald Trump pledged more military support for Kyiv and accused his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin of throwing “bullsh*t” over peace talks.

Russia conducted an attack using 741 aerial assets on the night of 8-9 July. Ukraine's air defence has managed to down 718 drones and missiles, but 4 hits have been recorded and debris have fallen in 14 locations.

In a statement posted to Facebook, Syrskyi said Russia continues to grow both its troop numbers and its production of missiles and drones. In response, Ukraine is developing both symmetrical and unconventional countermeasures,
