The launches target military objectives of both sides as well as energy infrastructure. Another night, and there have been hundreds of them, the Ukraine war has turned into an exchange of drone launches.

Russian forces have intercepted a Ukrainian drone near the Russian town of Kurchatov but there was no damage to the nearby Kursk nuclear power plant, the regional governor says. Governor Alexei Smirnov said debris from the drone caused explosions in a building unrelated to the plant.

Russian authorities confirmed that at least four people were killed and 24 injured in a Ukrainian drone attack on the Belgorod region, a border area with Ukraine. The incident occurred overnight, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict between the two countries.

The incident took place on the night of October 7, VGTRK confirmed, describing it as an "unprecedented hacker attack." However, it said "no significant damage" was caused and that everything was working normally despite attempts to interrupt radio and TV broadcasts.

During the night of October 5th to 6th, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine using 87 Shahed drones. Ukrainian defence was highly effective, intercepting most of these unmanned aerial vehicles.
