Ukraine says a Russian drone and missile strike near Odesa damaged port infrastructure, a grain silo and an abandoned hotel and injured one person.

Russia has continuously targeted the Black Sea port city since pulling out of a deal that allowed Ukrainian grain exports to countries facing famine.

Russia unleashed a major missile and drone assault against Odessa in southern Ukraine in the early hours of Monday, killing at least two people, cutting power and badly damaging the port, including grain infrastructure.

Russian drones and missiles fired on Odesa destroyed grain stores at the Black Sea port, according to Ukrainian authorities. Southern defence forces said Moscow had directed 19 Shahed drones, two Onyx supersonic missiles and 12 Kalibr missiles at the city.
