Line Fire initially started 6:33 p.m. Sep. 5 in San Bernardino County. It has burned 39,232 acres after being active for two weeks. A crew of 3,399 firefighters has been working on site and they managed to contain 51% of the fire as of Thursday afternoon. The fire is suspected to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters continue to gain ground in their fight against the 39,111-acre Line Fire, which reached 49% containment Tuesday morning.

A Norco man accused of deliberately igniting the 39,000-acre Line fire that forced thousands of residents of Highland and the San Bernardino Mountains to flee pleaded not guilty to nine felony arson counts on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

Bridge Fire initially started 2:12 p.m. Sep. 8 in Los Angeles, San Bernardino County. After being active for 11 days, it has burned 54,795 acres. A fire crew of 2,591 succeeded in containing 49% of the fire by Thursday afternoon. Investigations into its cause are still ongoing.

Cal Fire said about four structures were damaged and one was destroyed based on the damage assessments so far.

Officials arrested a Norco man who they believe started the fire. Steep terrain is making the firefight difficult.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has approved financial assistance to aid Southern California in battling the 33,000-acre Line Fire in San Bernardino County, which destroyed several homes and threatened more than 65,500 others, prompting new evacuation orders in Big Bear Lake on Tuesday.

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. — The Line Fire, which grew slightly overnight to 60 square miles (155 square kilometers) in the San Bernardino Mountains, was 36% contained Sunday.
