U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan has to determine how the case will move forward—and what will take place before Election Day.

U.S. prosecutors and lawyers for Donald Trump are set to appear in court on Thursday to determine how quickly to resume the 2020 election subversion case against the Republican presidential candidate following the U.

The case, which has been on pause since December 2023, cannot go to trial before the November election. Any decision regarding Trump's immunity will almost certainly come before the high court.
