Donald Trump sent shares of his social media startup soaring on Friday after he said at an event that he has “absolutely no intention of selling” his shares.

Trump Media stock shot up more than 25% after majority owner Donald Trump said he is not selling his shares. The Republican presidential nominee will soon be free to start cashing in his nearly 57% stake in the company that trades as DJT on the Nasdaq.

Shares of Truth Social's parent jumped after Donald Trump said he has no intention of selling shares in the struggling social-media company. The stock briefly jumped more than 25% before paring some of its gains.
