A British academic has launched a class-action suit against Google, alleging abuse of its market dominance in online search caused £5 billion ($6.6 billion) of damage to advertisers.

The class action lawsuit alleges that Google signed deals with Android phone makers and Apple to pre-install its own search app and browser, giving preference to its ad services.

Google can't seem to catch a break. It's now been sued in the UK for £5 billion over claims it abused its search to hike ad prices.
