Egg prices hit another record high in February, but there's a glimmer of hope — wholesale prices are now falling, and egg shortages are easing up. This could be welcome news in the lead-up to Easter.

The complaints allege that the producers manipulated the market to raise prices to a record high average of $6.23 a dozen for Grade A Large eggs in March 2025.

The average price of a dozen eggs at the grocery store is $2.58, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. That’s more than half of what many consumers were paying a year ago.
