New York City's $9 congestion pricing fee for people driving in certain parts of the city will remain, passing a federal deadline Sunday to end it.

The U.S. Department of Transportation initially told New York to turn off its congestion pricing cameras by March 21, but then granted the state an extension, setting the new deadline for Sunday, April 20.

New York has another month to end congestion pricing, but this time, DOT Secretary Sean Duffy uncovered what will happen if it doesn’t.
