On Wednesday at 1:55 p.m. the NWS Sacramento CA released a winter weather advisory valid from Thursday 4 p.m. until Friday 7 a.m. for West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada.

Several states are bracing for severe winter weather this weekend as forecasters from the NWS issue warnings for snow and ice.

The National Weather Service issued an updated winter weather advisory at 9:48 p.m. EST on Monday in effect until Tuesday at 7 a.m. EST for Berrien County.

Bay, Saginaw and Tuscola counties are under a winter weather advisory from noon to 10 p.m. Sunday due to cold temperatures, gusty winds and lake effect snow banding.
