A man was attacked by a mountain lion while he was sitting in a hot tub at a Colorado rental home this weekend, state wildlife officials said. The man sustained minor injuries, Colorado Parks and Wildlife said, with four scratches on the top of his head and by one of his ears.

A mountain lion snuck up on a man and his wife Saturday night as they were soaking in a hot tub west of Nathrop, Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials said in a release. The two sat in their vacation rental’s tub around 8 p.m., when the man felt something grab his head, CPW spokesman Bill Vogrin said in a release.
