The remains of Holly Bobo were found Sunday in Decatur County, not far from her home in the town of Parsons, about 110 miles east of Memphis, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Director Mark Gwyn told a news conference. Bobo was 20 when she disappeared. Her brother told police he saw a man dressed in camouflage leading her away into the woods.

Two hunters on Sunday found a human skull identified as 20-year-old Bobo — the first physical evidence of her remains since her disappearance in April 2011, police said. The remains were found about 10 miles from the home of kidnapping and murder suspect Zachary Rye Adams, who has pleaded not guilty in her death.

In September 2014, Bobo's partial remains were found by ginseng hunters in a wooded area of northern Decatur County, Tennessee, just off I-40, nearly 20 miles (32 km) from Darden. The owner of the property, Gary Tubbs, said it was not uncommon for people to hunt there without permission.

More than three years after her disappearance, on September 7, 2014, a couple of ginseng hunters discovered partial human remains, including a skull with a bullet hole, at the foot of a cell phone tower in a wooded area off Interstate 40. Upon examining the remains, the reports suggested that they belonged to Holly.

Six months later in September of 2014, Holly's remains were found in the woods north of Decatur County. The gruesome discovery was uncovered by ginseng hunters, one of whom claimed to have found a large bucket in the area which he upturned. The exact contents of the bucket remain unknown outside of law enforcement.
