The Makita XTR01Z Compact Router provides the power of a corded tool with the convenience of cordless. Paired with a Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Battery (battery and charger sold separately), it is capable of a wide range of routing tasks, and has no cord to hold you down. It boasts a compact, ergonomic design at 8-7/8' tall, and weighs only 4.6 lbs. with a 5.0Ah battery (sold separately). Features a Makita BL™ Brushless Motor for better run time, power, speed, and longer tool life. It has a variable speed dial that adjusts from 10, 000 - 30, 000 RPM to match the speed to the application, electronic speed control to maintain constant speed under load and soft start to reduce unexpected torque at startup. The rack-and-pinion fine depth adjustment system provides smooth, precise depth settings, while the quick-release cam lock allows larger depth adjustments and base removal/installation. Dual LED lights provide visibility in dim lighting. Users of corded Makita Compact Routers (models RT0700C, RT0701C), will be happy to know that the corded bases are fully compatible with the XTR01Z router. With the optional dust nozzle, the XTR01Z can be easily connected to your Makita vacuum cleaner. Star Protection Computer Controls™ let the tool and battery exchange data to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating.
